I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
"I'm sorry" are haunting words to hear as well as the long walk along the hospital corridors when you've experienced a loss, so this support is vital.
We sadly had an ectopic pregnancy in 2017, and a miscarriage at the start of 2024, both losses were devastating and much wanted little ones.
Our wishes were granted in the safe arrival of Toby but we know that for many this doesn't happen, so we will always hold a light for those little ones we lost and for those who didn't get their wishes granted.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times.
As well as ensuring staff receive training on how best to support families.
We had an amazing nurse called Helen, who took us under her wing, she will always be fondly remembered for the care she gave us.
