I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

I’ve committed to taking part in Sands Ribbon Run in Manchester which takes place during Baby Loss Awareness Week on Saturday 10 October 2026. I am taking part for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

Another 2 down!

Sunday 23rd Aug
It feels great to have another couple of runs done this week! Tonight was a later one with it being dark when I got done. We always have said we would meet Juniper again on the moon one day as heaven is not special enough. so it was nice she was shining so brightly for me tonight 💜

Run with Winston and Roy

Monday 17th Aug
Today's run i was accompanied by Winston and Roy, our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels ! Not sure they were much help though and meant we stopped at every lamp post and bush for a wee! But another checked off!

First run done!!

Saturday 15th Aug
After not running at all for around a year with getting pregnant with the twins and being high risk then living in hospitals and eating hospital food and takeaways for 5 months that felt amazing!!
Thinking of my angel and little miracle kept me going the first couple of stints when I felt like giving up, Juni was right along side me the whole way 💜

Wow!

Saturday 15th Aug
I can't believe we have hit the target already, thank you so much for the donations! Going to raise the goal to £500!

Running for Juniper

Friday 14th Aug

On March 13th 2026, our world changed forever. We were suddenly thrown into a universe where every minute mattered, and at any moment, everything could change.

Our twin daughters, Cecilia and Juniper, were born at just 23+1 weeks, extremely premature, incredibly tiny, but both such little fighters. 💛💜

Those first few days were filled with a haze of joy, love, overwhelm, exhaustion and a fear I don't think it is possible to put into words. We were learning how to be parents while simultaneously fighting for our girls, one day, one hour and sometimes one minute at a time.

After just six days, both of our girls were diagnosed with sepsis. We were suddenly faced with the worst possible situation a parent could ever find themselves in, and on March 19th, our beautiful Juniper passed away peacefully in our arms.

Cece continued to fight. She grew stronger,  and after 137 days, four different NICUs across the North East and Yorkshire, countless ups and downs, and more emotions than we ever knew were possible, she is finally home.

We are finally back together as a family. ❤️

This October, during Baby Loss Awareness Week, I have committed to running the Sands Ribbon Run in Manchester in memory of our beautiful Juniper.

I am aiming to raise £150 for Sands, who provide vital support to families following the loss of a baby. Donations help fund things such as memory boxes for families, training for healthcare professionals and ongoing support for bereaved parents.

If you are able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean so much to us and would help us honour Juniper's memory by supporting other families who find themselves facing the unimaginable.

Thank you for reading, for remembering our beautiful girl, and for supporting us.
