I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

💙 SANDS 100K – September 💙
Monday 10th AugThis September, I’ll be taking part in the SANDS 100K to raise money for families who have experienced the loss of a baby.
As a community midwife, I have the privilege of getting to know families throughout their pregnancy and continuing to support them after their baby is born. Sadly, this also means I have cared for families who have experienced previous baby loss, and I have seen first hand the impact that loss can have long after those initial, heartbreaking moments.
These families deserve so much. They deserve to be listened to, remembered, supported and cared for. Not just in the immediate aftermath, but throughout their journey afterwards.
So, I’m taking on the 100K for the families I’ve had the privilege of caring for, for the babies who are forever loved and remembered, and for every parent who has had to experience a loss no one should ever have to go through 💛

For me, this isn’t just a charity I know through my work. Sands is something I have relied on as a midwife when supporting families through some of the hardest moments of their lives. I genuinely don’t know where I would be without the support, resources and knowledge they provide.
