I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.
Walking for Sands is a deeply personal journey of remembrance and gratitude for my beautiful daughter, Olivia. Twenty-five years ago, Olivia was a very wanted baby, and her big sister Kirsten was desperate to meet her. Tragically, due to sudden preeclampsia, Olivia was stillborn at 36 weeks. While time has passed and we were later blessed with two more healthy daughters, Eve and Abi, Olivia remains a forever cherished part of our family. I am stepping out to raise funds and awareness because I will always be profoundly grateful to Sands for the vital support and comfort they offered us during our darkest days.
