I’m swimming in November for families facing baby loss
At the beginning of the year I experienced a miscarriage, I think it goes without saying it was one of the most devastating things to happen to our family.
Unfortunately it is much more common than I was initially aware of and it took it happening to us for me to realise.
I used swimming as a way to clear my head and pull myself out of one of the most upsetting periods of my life.
So it seems fitting to take on a swimming challenge as a means of raising a small amount of money to hopefully help make a difference to even one woman or family facing the same upset.
Hoping the overshare isn’t for nothing and I can hit my target. Every and any donation is so so appreciated.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change and provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals so that fewer babies die and fewer families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.
