1km complete!
We completed our first swim and we both did 40 lengths, that’s 1km done each!Challenge Extended!!
Right guys, Barri and I have been for 2 practice swims and we think we can extend the distance to 5k! THATS 200 LENGTHS!! OMG now this is going to be even more of a challenge, but we are going to do it for this great cause!! Here we go! We are starting our first challenge swim on Wednesday 5th November, so wish us luck and get donating!!Just Keep Swimming!
We are taking on the Sands Swimming challenge this November to raise awareness and funds for this wonderful charity helping people, like our own family who have lost precious babies. We are doing the challenge to remember our nephews and nieces; Simba, Gracie and Teddy. Swimming 80 lengths each will be a challenge for us and so the completion will be extra rewarding. We’ve committed to swimming in November for every much-loved baby sadly not here today. Especially for our nephews and nieces; Simba, Gracie and Teddy.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
