We're walking 100K in September for bradley
This September, my best friend Hannah and I are taking on a challenge that means more to us than we could ever put into words: walking 100K throughout September to raise money for baby loss, in memory of my beautiful son Bradley.
On the 6th September 2015, my world changed forever when Bradley fell asleep. There are some dates that never leave you, and for me, the 6th of September will always be one of them.
Losing a baby is something no family should ever have to experience. The pain doesn't simply disappear with time. You learn to carry it, but the love, the memories and the loss remain a part of you.
And that's why this challenge is so important to me.
Baby loss needs to be talked about
Baby loss is still something that isn't spoken about enough.
Behind the statistics are real babies, real parents, real families and lives that are changed forever. There are mums and dads who go home without their baby, grandparents who lose a grandchild, brothers and sisters who never get to grow up alongside their sibling, and families who have to somehow carry an unimaginable loss while the rest of the world continues around them.
There will be days when our legs are tired, days when the weather isn't on our side and days when finding the motivation to keep walking might be difficult.
But every step will have a reason.
Every step will be for Bradley.
Every step will be for the babies who are missed every single day.
Every step will be for the parents and families who continue to carry that loss.
And every step will help us raise awareness of something that deserves to be talked about much more!
Please help us make a difference
If you can donate, no matter how big or small, we would be incredibly grateful.
