I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run this Baby Loss Awareness Week 9-15 October.

Sands exists to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, before, during or shortly after birth, whenever this happened and for as long as they need support.

By sponsoring me, you are helping Sands break the silence around baby loss and to continue to save babies’ lives.

£10 - could provide a hand and footprint kit to help create memories.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

This weekend I took part in the Ribbon Run in memory of our little girl, Summer Rose, and in support of Sands (Stillbirth & Neonatal Death Society) — a charity that helps families through unimaginable loss.

It was emotional, but also uplifting — seeing so many people come together to remember, to talk, and to raise awareness. 💫

Thank you to everyone who supported and donated. Together, we’re helping ensure no family has to face this journey alone. 🕯️

This October I’ll be taking part in the Sands Ribbon Run in memory of my daughter, Summer Rose.

Losing a baby is something no parent should ever have to go through. When Kim and I lost Summer to an ectopic pregnancy, the world stopped. There was a huge support network in place for Kim, but as a dad I felt very much on the outside looking in. Sands helped me find my way through that grief and reminded me I wasn’t alone.

Baby Loss Awareness Week (9–15 October) is about breaking the silence and remembering every baby loved but never forgotten.

I know I’ve asked for support for other events recently, so please don’t feel any pressure. But if you’d like to make a small donation, it would mean a lot to me and to families like mine.

Even if you can’t donate, a share of this post helps raise awareness.

Thank you for reading. 💜
