I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk

I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk as I want to help those affected by the loss of a baby to find the light in the dark. Every day 13 babies die before, during or shortly after birth. I am raising funds to help Sands continue to build a world where more babies survive, and more families receive the happy ending they deserve.  

Please sponsor me and help Sands create a legacy of hope and comfort, showing the world how much every baby is loved.

Starlight Walk is a sponsored walk where hundreds of people come together to walk under the stars to remember their babies and raise funds for Sands. Many of you know my story, I lost my beautiful daughter after birth at 26 weeks in 2015, I’ve had miscarriages and I really wanted to take part in this particular event for some time. My health didn’t allow for that, until now. 
My heart is so fortunate that 3 parts of me walk around but my heart always aches for my babies that don’t. 
If you can spare anything to support this charity I’d be so grateful, it’s so important. 

Over my years as a mom who carries loss I’ve met so many mothers and families who just don’t know how to feel, we joined a club we were never expecting to be in, we fell into a group we wouldn’t wish on anyone, but I’m glad to know these people, we help each other and listen to the irrational and rational pains, the random thoughts of what our child would be doing now, look like, their ice flavour of choice, if they were quiet or bubbly, if they like to dress up and read books, ponies or cars, pink or blue, or even all of the above. It’s never goes away. I’m 10 years into my heartbreak and it hurts always. 
I will always be blessed to have my children whether they look to me now or look down and watch over me. They are always a part of me.
