I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run this Baby Loss Awareness Week 9-15 October.

Sands exists to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, before, during or shortly after birth, whenever this happened and for as long as they need support.

By sponsoring me, you are helping Sands break the silence around baby loss and to continue to save babies’ lives.

£10 - could provide a hand and footprint kit to help create memories.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

My Updates

2 weeks to go

Thursday 2nd Oct
So I haven’t posted in a while but things have been rather busy for me.

So during my training and activities Ive had a couple of injury setbacks however I can’t see them impacting too much when the day comes around.

I won’t be taking part in an organised run/course but I will be completing the distance required anyway (but over a couple of days as per the rules).

Please share this post wide and far and encourage people to donate to this amazing cause.

On a plus note Milly is booked into hospital tomorrow (3rd October) for her c-section to welcome Grace and Sophia into the world.

And so the challenge begins…..

Tuesday 29th Jul
As the title says “And so the challenge begins”. This is due to be a major challenge for me. I’m 6’3” and just over 23stones in weight. To add to that I’m also Type 2 Diabetic and not as fit as I would like.

However, as the proud daddy to Theo who we have recently lost in the womb and also in support of my future wife who sadly lost little Poppy at 2 weeks old last year (I consider Poppy as part of OUR family and I always will) I have decided to challenge myself to this challenge to raise vital funds for this wonderful cause.

Please get behind me and donate to support me and the charity.

Over the coming weeks I will add to this blog with updates on how I am progressing in preparation to this challenge and also on the day of the run.

In memory of Poppy Rose and Theo Roman Brown 🕊️🕊️
