This is the story of our precious girl, Aalayah Rose Watts
Born sleeping on the 3rd January 2025 at 3:14am, Aalayah’s arrival changed our lives forever.
From the very beginning, taking that positive pregnancy test together as a couple came as the biggest shock, but the happiest one. From that moment, our hearts were full. Every scan showed our baby growing beautifully; always measuring above average, and the movements filled us with joy. An active little soul, constantly kicking, rolling, blowing bubbles and waving at us during scans. We were ecstatic to discover we were having a baby girl.
We spent hours shopping for baby clothes and preparing for her arrival. We imagined our future with her, planned her outfits, and held so much hope and excitement for the months ahead.
But on the night of the 2nd of January, everything changed. I began to feel unwell, and although I couldn’t explain it, my mother instinct knew something was wrong. Without warning, just after midnight, everything changed, forever. Only a short while later, our beautiful Aalayah was born, silent, and in the most peaceful way.
In the days that followed, it was revealed that she had a few health complications that had never shown up on her scans.
Our first baby together, my first daughter… gone in an instant. No parents should ever have to walk out of a hospital with empty arms, or say goodbye before they ever had the chance to say hello properly.
We are fundraising for SANDS to honour Aalayah’s memory and to support all the parents and families who are facing the same heartbreak, those whose babies are now angels, just like our girl. The work SANDS does brings comfort, understanding, and vital care during the darkest moments a family can endure.
Every donation made in Aalayah’s name will hopefully ensure that no family has to face this journey alone.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for supporting us and for remembering our precious daughter,
Aalayah Rose Watts. 💗
