I’ve committed to walking 100K in March for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Walking 100km for Sands — In Loving Memory of Theo Steven Connolly 

This March, I’ll be walking 100k over the month to raise money for Sands, a charity that supports families affected by baby loss.

In March 2025, my family lost my beautiful grandson, Theo, He was just four days old. Losing Theo changed us forever. No amount of time could ever make that loss easier, and the love we have for him didn’t disappear — it became part of everything we carry with us.

Sands supports families like ours at the most devastating time of their lives. They provide comfort, understanding, and a safe space for grief — not only in the early days, but in the weeks, months, and years that follow, when the world expects you to keep going. They also work tirelessly to improve maternity care and reduce the number of babies who die, so fewer families have to experience this heartbreak.
This walk is my way of honouring Theo, and remembering all babies gone too soon. Every step I take is for him, and for every family living with the pain of baby loss.
