I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

I’ve committed to taking part in Sands Ribbon Run which takes place during Baby Loss Awareness Week (9-15 October) for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

£10 - could provide a hand and footprint kit to help create memories.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

i did 5k!

Sunday 5th Oct

I hope you're all doing well. I wanted to
share a personal milestone that I'm
quite proud of – I've finally reached the
5km mark in my running journey! It feels
like a significant achievement, and I
thought it would be nice to share this
update with you all.

Running has been a great way to stay
active and clear my mind, and reaching
this goal has been incredibly rewarding.
I'm looking forward to setting new
targets and continuing to improve.

Thank you for your support and
encouragement along the way!

training

Monday 29th Sep
I have been training since match to do this run I didnt realise that running on a treadmill was easy compared to the park. I could smash 5k on a treadmill but finding it very hard to complete it around the park. I have 2 weeks of training around the park fingers crossed I do 5k before the run.

Thank you everyone for ur support xxxx

Kendal-chanel

Tuesday 23rd Sep
Hi my name is stephanie and 12 years ago I lost my one and only little girl I named her kendal-chanel. Nothing could have prepared me for the pain i was going to feel for the rest of my life. I was 34 weeks pregnant and everything was going fine. Then 1 day I woke up with swollen ankles. I thought this was normal cause I had it before with my other children. But something just told me to go and get checked out. I walked into the maternity unit, expecting them to tell me everything was fine and this was normal. They hooked me up to a heart monitoring machine, and they could hear both our heartbeats 💓  one hour later they put me back on the heart monitor i couldn't hear nothing but one heartbeat. I knew something wasn't right when they all start herd walking out of the room and talking. The lady came back in and told me my baby had no heartbeat. It was devastating. never have thought I would have to here them words. I got sent home and told to come back in 2 days. I then give birth to my beautiful sleeping  baby girl On the 10th of september 2013 at 3:15pm weighing just 3lb 10oz. she was just perfect 🥰. The memory box that the hospital provided was so nice. There was keepsake stuff in there, and I would like to raise money to get other grieving parents these memory boxes. Please donate even if it's just a pound. It helps thank you for reading my story ❤️
