I’m running 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss
*UPDATE: After some very generous donations I have already hit my target on the first day (thank you so much!) so I have increased my target in the hope I can raise more money for such an important charity*
I’ve committed to running 2k a day this January for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Our wonderful friends Anna and Tamas so sadly lost their beautiful baby boy on 24th September 2025. Beautiful Arty was born sleeping at 34+3 weeks.
I have been shocked that during such an incredibly painful and traumatic time for my friends they have received poor care, faced incredibly lengthy processes and awful mistakes have been made. They have dealt with this all whilst navigating what can only be the most unimaginable grief.
Sands does such important work campaigning for change, providing training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and supporting research so fewer babies die and less families experience the tragedy of losing their beloved baby.
Sands ensure everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times.
