I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss - Walking for Ducky
I’ve committed to walking 100km this September in honour of every much-loved baby who is sadly not here today.
In memory of my own pregnancy and my first baby, preciously nicknamed Ducky, whom we devastatingly lost, I’m challenging myself to step far outside my comfort zone (everyone knows I hate walking!) during what is already a very busy month. I’m doing this to raise vital funds for SANDS UK—a cause that simply has not been funded enough, but means so much to so many families.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
