I’m running 50k in September for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to running 50k in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

As some of you may know I’ve lost multiple babies over the years, 6 to be exact. I’m blessed with two beautiful children walking Earth side and 6 with the stars. I’m running to help research into why some babies are gone too soon and often with no given reason.
 My twins were taken for investigations and there was ‘no obvious reason’. My following pregnancies and losses were all met with ‘one of those things’. 
I hope for a time when parents don’t have to question what happened and for a time when there can be more prevention and less question marks left hanging. I wish I had known about charities like SANDS years ago. I hope my small contribution to the charity will help at least one grieving family receive the support they need. Thank you to everyone who has donated, encouraged or cheered me on. I’m not a runner, but I’m running.
