I’ve committed to running 2k a day this January for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share something that’s been on my heart lately. In January, I’m going to run 2k for Sands Baby Loss Charity – and I’m doing it in memory of the little lives I’ve lost to miscarriage over the last two years.

No one prepares you for the quiet ache of this kind of loss, but in the months since, I’ve had some important medical changes to my history that will finally let me look after my body the way I’ve wanted to. It’s going to be a slow, gentle journey building up my fitness – and I want to channel that progress into something meaningful: running for Sands.

They provide vital care, research, and a community that understands the pain of baby loss, and I want to do my bit to help them keep supporting families like mine. Every step of this 2k will be a tribute to those little ones, and a thank you for the chance to take care of myself while making a difference.

I know January can be tough, but if you’re able to spare even a small amount to sponsor my run, it would mean the world. Every penny counts.
