I’m walking 100km in March for families facing baby loss

This charity is close to my heart and have helped me massively since the loss of my Son, Connor- Leighton. 

I’ve committed to walking 100km in March for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

A massive thank you to all of our family, friends and work friends who supported our fundraiser and donated! £600 has doubled our target and we are so happy and over joyed with all the support shown!

I felt a-bit rubbish with this challenge only just reaching 100km, but I have now reached the target by completing walks/jogs out of my normal routine. And starting a week later. So I reminded my self why I'm doing this and as long as I reached my target its all good <3 So, so far so good...

Snow drop on my Rainy mothers day walks <3

If you haven't already heard it, There is a poem related to baby loss called snow drop. This poem reminds me of my son as we stayed in the snowdrop suite at the hospital when he was born and this poem was the first writing I read in relation to this loss i had been faced with. 

The world may never notice if a snow drop doesn't bloom, or even pause to wonder if the petals fall to soon, but every life that ever forms or ever comes to be. Touches the world in some small way for all eternity. The little one you longed for was swiftly here and gone. But the love that was then planted is a light that shines on and though your arms are empty, your hearts know what to do, for every beating of your heart speaks of their love for you! <3
