I’m walking 100K in March for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in March for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

In memory of our son Sebastian Noah

In March this year, Marc and I will be taking on a 100km walking challenge over 31 days in memory of our beautiful son, Sebastian 💙

Sebastian was born on 28th May 2019 during an emergency C-section at 38 weeks pregnant after I experienced a placental abruption, and despite every effort made by medical staff Sebastian sadly passed away during labour.

Losing Sebastian has changed our lives forever. The grief of losing a baby is something no parent ever imagines facing, and the impact continues to shape who we are every single day. During the darkest time of our lives, we received incredible support from SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity), a UK charity that supports parents and families experiencing the loss of a baby, while also working to improve care and fund vital research.

This March, we are walking 100km to honour Sebastian’s memory and to help ensure other families receive the same support that meant so much to us. Every step we take is for Sebastian, and for all the babies gone too soon. 

If you are able to donate, no matter how small, you will be helping SANDS continue their vital work supporting bereaved families across the UK.
