Unspoken words
Friday 25th Jul Running for SANDS in memory of our little starSome grief lives quietly. It settles in the corners of everyday life, in the spaces where a baby’s cry never came, in the silence of what could have been.
My name is Saleha, and this year, I’m running for something that is hard to put into words. My twin sister gave birth to twins. Two tiny miracles — but one of them didn’t make it. We lost a precious soul before there was time to know her laugh, her cry, her favorite lullaby.
We’re still learning how to talk about it. It’s one of those heartbreaks that isn’t always spoken — but it’s always felt. That's why this fundraiser i called Unspoken.
I’ll be running alongside my family/friends to raise money for SANDS, the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity, who support families like ours through the unimaginable. Their work is compassionate, vital, and often invisible — just like the grief they help families carry.
This isn’t a big flashy fundraiser. It’s small. It’s quiet. But it comes from a place of deep love and remembrance. A way for us to honour Matilda who isn’t here — and to hold space for the thousands of families who walk through this pain every day.
If you feel moved to support us, even the smallest donation can help SANDS continue their work, offering care, guidance, and hope.
Some losses go unspoken — but they are never forgotten.
