In Loving Memory of Our Son, Rian Roy Varghese

In March, I will be taking part in a sponsored walk in memory of our beautiful son, Rian Roy Varghese, who was stillborn.

There are no words that truly capture the pain of losing a child. From the moment you find out you’re expecting, you begin to dream — you imagine their smile, their laugh, the life they will have. We dreamed of holding Rian, watching him grow, and creating memories together as a family. Although we never got to bring him home, he will always be our son, and he will always be deeply loved ❤️

This walk is for Rian.

It’s for the love we have for him.

It’s for the parents who carry invisible grief every single day.

And it’s for the hope that, one day, fewer families will have to experience this heartbreak.

Every step I take will be in memory of my son. 

In the midst of our grief, we have found comfort in the support and resources provided by Sands. Sands works tirelessly to support families affected by stillbirth and neonatal death, offering bereavement support, practical guidance, and a compassionate community who truly understand. They also campaign for improvements in maternity safety and fund research to help save babies’ lives.
