Our Story:
On 25th August 2019, our world changed forever. The unthinkable happened. Our little baby boy, who had been growing for 29 weeks, suddenly died. Being told that we had lost our beautiful boy and the days that followed were, without doubt, some of the most difficult and painful days of our lives. Our little son arrived silently on 26th August 2019. Toby was perfect.
Just over a year later, ever so cruelly, the unthinkable happened once again. Our little girl, who had been growing for 37 weeks, suddenly died without any explanation as to how. Our already fragile hearts were broken even further. Our darling girl arrived via caesarean section on 5th September 2020. Ava was perfect.
Run 2k Every Day in January:
In January, I am committed to running 2k every day in memory of Toby, Ava and every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much. Thank you.
