I’m running 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to running 2k a day this January for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

Why I’m Taking on the SANDS January Challenge This January?

Sunday 28th Dec
I’m taking on a challenge for SANDS for a very personal reason.

Through my work, I’ve walked alongside families whose babies have died. I’ve seen the shock, the silence, and the deep, lasting grief that follows baby loss.

These are moments that stay with you. The families stay with you.

I carry their stories with me, and I hold their babies in my heart. This challenge is my way of turning that grief into something meaningful — putting one foot in front of the other in honour of the families who shouldn’t have had to say goodbye.

SANDS supports bereaved families at their most vulnerable and works to ensure no one faces baby loss alone. If my steps can help raise awareness or support that work in any way, then they matter.
Thank you for taking the time to read and for holding space for this. 🤎
