I’m hosting a Starlight Walk for Sands

I’m hosting a Starlight Walk for Sands as I want to help those affected by the loss of a baby to find the light in the dark. Every day 13 babies die before, during or shortly after birth. I am raising funds to help Sands continue to build a world where more babies survive, and more families receive the happy ending they deserve.

Starlight Walk is a sponsored walk where hundreds of people come together to walk under the stars to remember their babies and raise funds for Sands. My precious baby boy Jasper 💙

I am doing this Starlight Walk for my son Jasper. I lost him at 38 weeks. I had a scan on the 16th November and I mentioned I had reduced movements so they monitored me and still had no signs of movement and they decided I need an emergency c-section. When he arrived he stopped breathing for 17 minutes and he was very poorly. He had brain damage and a haemorrhage.

I spent 3 days with him. On the last day he started to get seizures and everything started to drop like his oxygen and heart rate, so then we had to make the hardest decision of our lives and to put our precious baby boy to rest.

This walk is my way of honouring Jasper and carrying him with me every step of the way. Taking part means so much, not just keeping him with me, but also to raise money so that other families going through heartbreak can receive the care and support they need.
