I’m walking 100K in March for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to walking 100K in March for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
Thank you.

My Reasons Why…
Tuesday 3rd FebThis year I have decided to take part in the Walk 100k in March for SANDS (along with Mac) to help raise money in memory of my little brother Rhian and little cousin Ernie who we sadly lost far too soon.
Every day in the UK, 13 babies die shortly before, during or soon after birth with at least 1 in 6 pregnancies ending in miscarriage.
Too many families are affected by the loss of a baby - whether that be miscarriage, SIDS, neonatal, stillbirth or having to have a pregnancy terminated outwith their control - with the lack of funding and support, there is sadly not a lot of information on the reasons for these loses and families are often unable to get the closure they need or the true support to deal with their loss or to deal with the anxieties around future pregnancies and navigating life without their little one.
Having just become a mum myself to my beautiful baby boy, the anxiety around previous losses and events and lack of professional support has been a massive struggle for myself personally and can only imagine how others have felt having lost their sons or daughters at any age (never mind so young). With your support and donations, we can look to raise funds to allow SANDS to continue their amazing work in providing support to families who have either gone through or currently going through such tragic losses and ensure they can continue to push for answers on why these deaths sadly happen.
If you would like to donate, please do so through the link below or through the QR code.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated ❤️
