I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk

I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk as I want to help those affected by the loss of a baby to find the light in the dark. Every day 13 babies die before, during or shortly after birth. I am raising funds to help Sands continue to build a world where more babies survive, and more families receive the happy ending they deserve.  

Please sponsor me and help Sands create a legacy of hope and comfort, showing the world how much every baby is loved.

Starlight Walk is a sponsored walk where hundreds of people come together to walk under the stars to remember their babies and raise funds for Sands. In may 2023 I found out I was pregnant with Annabel and everything looked fine and well. Then at her 20 week scan we were referred to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London where we were told she had Pulmonary Atresia. Half of her heart wasn’t working properly. She was born 4 weeks early and had her first operation at just a week old and unfortunately she suffered a couple of cardiac arrests and passed away Christmas Day 2023. I am not a very active person anymore but I’ve taken on this challenge to raise money for mums and dads and families like mine. I was lucky enough to spend time with her before and after she passed and was given an amazing memory box from the SANDS foundation. All I would like to do is give back and support this charity to help others going through this hard time.
