I’m jogging 31 miles in May for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to jogging 31 miles in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

My Story

Tuesday 29th Apr

In March 2025, I lost my baby — a baby I never thought I could have👼🪽❤️

After being told I might never be able to conceive, I fell pregnant for the very first time. The love I felt was instant and overwhelming, I never imagined I could love someone I’d never met so deeply. But there I was, completely in awe of you❤️

At around 8 weeks, I heard my baby’s heartbeat for the first time. That tiny rhythm made everything real, my journey into mamahood had begun. My body was changing, adapting to pregnancy, the nausea, the sensitivity to smells, the exhaustion, hit me hard, but I welcomed it.

Then came the 12-week scan. I was so excited to see my baby again, to hear that heartbeat one more time. But everything changed when I heard the words “There is no visible heartbeat.” My world shattered💔 I had no signs of miscarriage, no pain, no bleeding, my body still believed I was pregnant.

I was told I’d had a missed miscarriage and faced the heart-breaking decision of how to manage it, naturally, medically, or surgically. The emotional, mental, and physical toll was soul-destroying. The loss of my baby is something I will carry with me forever, and my life will never be the same.

That’s why I’m choosing to share my story, to raise awareness about pregnancy and baby loss, and to honour the baby I never got to hold.

I will Cheshire the moment I heart your heartbeat forever. Fly high my little angel baby👼🪽❤️

This May, I’ll be running 31 miles🏃‍♀️ in support of Sands, a charity dedicated to reducing baby loss and supporting anyone affected by it — before, during, or shortly after birth, no matter when it happened or how long support is needed.

Any donations, no matter how small, would mean the world. Thank you for helping me make a difference✨🪽
