I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run this Baby Loss Awareness Week 9-15 October.

Sands exists to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, before, during or shortly after birth, whenever this happened and for as long as they need support. 

By sponsoring me, you are helping Sands break the silence around baby loss and to continue to save babies’ lives.

£10 - could provide a hand and footprint kit to help create memories.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

So mid last year myself and my husband lost our first little bundle of joy through a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks. 

No one can quite prepare you for how you feel after loosing a baby, we had tried for 2 years to conceive, went through tests and tablets. So when we finally conceived it was a dream/ wish come true. 

In May last year our hearts were torn apart when we found out we’d lost our baby. There’s no feeling like it, broken, lost, devastated, to name a few. 

We’ve never really done anything to bring this beautiful angel baby to its peace. So I’m hoping by challenging myself and helping other people out there that may unfortunately be experiencing or experience the same heart break we did might help bring a bit of light and closure to our chapter. 

I know I will never forget our angel baby, they will be carried with us forever. But it’s not a chapter I wish upon anyone. So I’m going to challenge myself to a 10K power walk, carrying my now precious miracle baby with me in his carrier.
