I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Why I'm walking for Sands

I’m walking for Sands, a charity that provides support to those affected by pregnancy loss and infertility.

Anyone who knows me well knows that I’ve faced health challenges since my teenage years, including ovarian cysts and PCOS. By the age of 21, I had already undergone two C-sections and have struggled with fertility ever since. Sadly, I’ve experienced multiple heartbreaking miscarriages along the way.

If I had known about a charity offering support during those times, it would have meant the world to me. That’s why I’m passionate about raising awareness for Sands. Infertility affects around 1 in 7 couples, and miscarriage rates are approximately 15%, and that’s only counting clinically recognized pregnancies.

Miscarriages are still a taboo subject, and far too many people suffer in silence. It shouldn’t be that way. Sharing our stories and supporting charities like Sands can make a real difference ❤️
