13.1 Miles. For the Little Lives That Matter. 💙🧡

In March 2027, I'll be taking on the Swansea Half Marathon, running 13.1 miles to raise money for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity.

This run isn't about chasing personal bests, medals or finish times. This one means something much more.

Two of my friends, Jay and Dan, have both experienced the unimaginable heartbreak of losing a child.

As a father myself, I cannot begin to imagine the pain of saying goodbye to a child you should have had a lifetime to love, watch grow and make memories with.

I can't take away their pain. I can't change what happened. But I can do something.

I can run.

I'll be taking on those 13.1 miles to honour the little lives that were taken far too soon, to stand alongside my friends, and to support other families facing the same devastating loss.

Sands provides vital support to bereaved parents and families, while working to save babies' lives and improve maternity care.
