I’m running 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to running 2k a day this January for our much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much to us as we were so incredibly well supported during his birth and after by midwives specialised in bereavement.

Tuesday 27th Jan Today we received pictures from the bereavement photographer at Frimley Park Hospital.

Thursday 1st Jan We found out at our 20w scan that you wouldn't make it. The next week was full of bad news, difficult decision and lots of tears... on the 17th Dec you were born. You never got to see our faces, but we got to see yours. You had 10 fingers and 10 toes but you were so very small... our little boy, forever in our hearts. ShareThank you to my Sponsors

Hi Marianne, I honestly didn't know the details of what you've been through. I was informed in January that you lost a baby. It was heartbreaking enough, but I didn't know anything else. I didn't know that Benjamin was over 20 weeks and he was born. Thank you very much for sharing this with us. I have no words.... I've read through your text again and again and just cried.
