✨ Starlight Walk for Siarra ✨
“As the stars get ready to shine on the 22nd of November, me, my mummy, daddy and Rayray (in her pram) are going to do a special 5K Starlight Walk around Roundhay Park. I’ve never walked that far before, but I’m going to try my very best — because this walk is for my little sister, Siarra, who lives in the sky. It’s also for all the other babies who didn’t get to come home, just like her.” Shaan
Last month, during Baby Loss Awareness Month, we should have been celebrating Siarra’s 4th birthday. We should be choosing her school, and getting excited for her to join her big sister. But these are all the milestones that will never come. Instead, we’re left always wondering. Always remembering. This is what it means to lose them — not once, but every single day.
We will always be deeply grateful to the people and charities who supported us, stood by us, and helped us through the unimaginable. One of those charities is Sands, which provides comfort and support to families who experience the devastating loss of a baby.
This year, Shaan is hoping to raise awareness and funds by taking on her very first 5K walk under the stars. Every penny raised will help Sands continue their incredible work supporting families through their darkest times.

Starlight Walk is a sponsored walk where hundreds of people come together to walk under the stars to remember their babies and raise funds for Sands.
