I’m running 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to running 2k a day this January for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

In Memory of Alex

I wanted to share something very personal.
I’ve signed up with Sands Charity for their January challenge, running 2km every day throughout the month and to raise money to help support families affected by pregnancy and baby loss.
As some of you may or may not know, five years ago my beautiful baby boy Alex Murray was born on 24th March at 18:44, full term, and heartbreakingly stillborn. Not a day goes by where he isn’t thought of.
I’m incredibly proud and grateful to be the dad of four beautiful, healthy little girls, and I truly believe Alex watches over them every single day 🤍
In Alex’s memory, and to give something back to families who have been through, or are going through, similar experiences, I’ve committed to running a total of 62km throughout January the equivalent of a marathon and a half.
This challenge is a personal one for me. It’s also about improving my mental health, getting fitter, losing some weight, and ultimately doing something positive. Every step is for Alex, and for those who need support during the hardest times for a cause close to my heart.
I don’t have a specific fundraising target. Every donation, no matter how small, genuinely helps. If you’re able to donate and help support me in completing this challenge, I would be incredibly grateful.
