I’m running 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss
In January, I’ll be taking on the 2k-a-day running challenge in support of Sands, a charity that provides vital support to anyone affected by baby loss.
Around this time nine years ago, I found out I was pregnant — just days before we were due to embark on our IVF journey. What felt like a moment of hope, quickly became uncertain, and in January 2017, I realised something wasn’t right and arranged an emergency scan, just days before what would have been my 12-week milestone.
I was sent home from hospital and told to wait for nature to take its course. Nothing can ever prepare you for that experience, or for the loneliness that can follow when you don’t know who to turn to or what comes next.
In recent years, I’ve tried to be open about my loss, in the hope that sharing my story might offer comfort or reassurance to others during their own time of need.
I am now incredibly fortunate to have two beautiful children, but there were moments when I truly believed that might never be possible.
Any donation, no matter how small, would be hugely appreciated and will help Sands continue their incredible work supporting families through the unimaginable. 🤍

Sands January Challenge Complete 65km
Saturday 31st Jan
61k Ran 2 days to go!
Thursday 29th Jan
We’re nearing the end of the challenge, and it’s been far tougher than I expected. Juggling a 2k run every day alongside 12-hour shifts, the kids, and everything else life throws in hasn’t been easy.
With 61km run and just two days left, it’s all been for an incredible cause. My target has been completely smashed, and I can’t thank everyone enough who has sponsored me and supported me along the way. I’m so grateful to be doing this for such an amazing charity — Sands - baby loss charity
One last push to hopefully reach the £400 mark. Thank you all so much 🧡 🙏
