I’m running 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss
I am running 62 kilometres in January in memory of Vic and Walter, to raise money for Sands.
In January 2024, my husband Jordan, my brother in law Aiden, and the boys’ dad Tim all took part in Dry January. I watched from the sidelines and made a promise to myself that when I was able, I would find my own challenge to support them and this incredible charity.
This is that promise.
I am doing this because Sands is there for people I love, people I know, and people I will never meet. They support families through the most devastating experiences, with compassion, understanding and community.
Anyone who knows me knows I hate running, so 62km in January really is a big challenge for me. As I have been doing this, I have been imagining Vic and Walter cheering me on. Their laughter lives on through their parents, Hollie and Tim, and through the community around them. And it is because of Sands that Tim and Hollie have that community to support them.
Vic and Walter will always be part of their family and of everyone who loves them.
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. If you are able to give a little, just £25 can provide a family with a memory box. Thank you for being part of this, and for helping Sands continue to support families when they need it most. 💙💙
