Walk 100k in September 2025

I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

Hi, I'm Lisa, and i had 9 years of miscarriages, and here is why, in 2001, I had just tuned 18, working in a local shop, this guy kept coming in and always wanted me to serve him, so I did my job, and we got together, I quit that job and started working in the pub across the road, I was 18 he was older than me but that didn't matter, the bad boy look, had a car etc, so one night shortly after my birthday 30/11/2001 well was midnight so the date just changed over he got in his car, with a mate I followed him got in the back, he sped off down a country lane and crashed ( to cut this shorter) I came out of the back window, scrapped alone the road and bounced up a kerb and landed in mud, I was badly injured badly, I went. Back to him ( stupid I know) and at that age I was told I would never walk, talk drive or have kids, so I went on and for the following next 9 years I suffered with miscarriages, so I get it
