I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk
I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk as I want to help those affected by the loss of a baby to find the light in the dark. Every day 13 babies die before, during or shortly after birth. I am raising funds to help Sands continue to build a world where more babies survive, and more families receive the happy ending they deserve.
Please sponsor me and help Sands create a legacy of hope and comfort, showing the world how much every baby is loved.
Starlight Walk is a sponsored walk where hundreds of people come together to walk under the stars to remember their babies and raise funds for Sands. If you’d like to join me on this challenge, you can sign up here http://www.fundraising.sands.org.uk/starlight-walk Starlight Walk events take place across the UK or you could choose to take part virtually at a location of your choice.
On the darkest of nights, the stars shine the brightest.

Baby Billie and my other angels
Thursday 30th OctI’ve been through four losses — one a termination for medical reasons — and each one has left its mark. My baby girl Billie changed everything. Losing her broke my heart, and there isn’t a day that goes by when I don’t think of her. Unfortunately Billie was the only heart beat I’ve ever seen, and you need to have 3 or more miscarriages before investigation's. I also struggle with the term miscarriage 😢
In February, I joined the Sands walk and found such comfort being surrounded by others who truly understood. Sands were there when I needed it most — their support meant more than I can ever put into words.
So here I am again, taking part in the Star Light Walk on 7th November in memory of Billie and the three little ones who came before her. I’m walking for them, and for every family who’s had to say goodbye far too soon.
If you can, please donate to support Sands and help them continue their amazing work for families like mine.
For Billie. For all four of them. Always loved, always remembered. 💗
