I’m running the length of Marathon for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to completing 26.2miles for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

£10 - could provide a hand and footprint kit to help create memories.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

The reverse fixture walk

Tuesday 24th Feb
2 years ago we walked from Burton’s Pirelli stadium to Leicesters King power Stadium. Now it’s time for the return fixture. On the 28th March I will be walking with William Roach the same route starting from Leicester this time.

This time we have chosen SANDS as the charity to support. This is something important to me and my wife Lucy. We are lucky to have our two girls we know that but what we don’t know was how hard it would be to add. Lucy suffered numerous miscarriages after our youngest daughter was born and along with the physical pain, the mental scar is still there today. We get on with it, we carry on but we don’t forget. This walk is to try and help others. We didn’t reach out we didn’t really know how or to who. This is a well deserving charity which walking for is just a small drop.

Any donations will go straight to SANDS and will be appreciated by us as a family.

Thank you.
