I’m running 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to running 2k a day this January for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Saturday 31st JanShare@lt_lifeandlooks Was already so happy that two of my best friends are staying for the weekend and wanted to do the last run with me …. Then the doorbell rang this morning and Phil’s cousins had driven 40 minutes to surprise me and join me as well 😭 How lucky am I? 😭 I’m so close to £3000 now I honestly can’t believe it! What an experience and what an amazing outcome. Knowing this money will help families who are going through what Emma has is an amazing feeling! #running #babyloss #fyp #finishline #challengecomplete

FOUR WHOLE WEEKS OF THIS!!
Thursday 29th JanShare@lt_lifeandlooks I can’t believe I have done 28 whole days of running every single day! Only 3 runs left and I’ve finished the challenge! 🥺 Today I hit my latest and final target of £2500 and it was just perfect that the donation to get me there was from Emma and Joe 💙 What an emotional whirlwind this has been, I’m going to try and enjoy the last few years and stop being so hard on myself. Monday 26th JanShare@lt_lifeandlooks Day 26 has been a tough one. The only time I could fit the 2k in today was as soon as I’d opened my eyes due to work commitments and I just wasnt ready. I feel really pushed to my limits RN and like I was barely picking my feet up when I ran, but I did it, because there’s no way on earth I’m quitting now! Wednesday 14th JanShare@lt_lifeandlooks This week is absolutely kicking my arse for a number of reasons that are all not that deep and will pass. Weirdly, this daily run has become something I look forward to … It allows me time to breathe in the midst of a chaotic day (even though ironically I can’t breathe from the running lol) and reflect on what’s important. Work is just work, a bad day is not a bad life, there is always someone worse off than you and I want to do everything I can to raise as much money as I physically can before the end of this month! Going into week three knowing I can smash this. I have a whole bloody dance school running with me this weekend - is it possible to feel anymore loved than that?! Saturday 10th JanShare@lt_lifeandlooks A day that filled my heart and broke it at the same time 💔 This was day 10 of the 2k a day and all the girlies at @EB Dance Company ran with me. Our dance school closes its doors permanently in a few weeks, this has been an immensely hard decision for Emma, but totally understandable in the aftermath of losing Otis, prioritising herself, recovering and focusing on having a family. Please sponsor if you can, Sands charity support families who have suffered baby loss, it impacts every aspect of life and witnessing it is heartbreaking. Wednesday 7th JanShare@lt_lifeandlooks Seven days DONE ✅ Someone said to me yesterday ‘part of the challenge is doing it outside’ … challenge accepted! This week I’ve ran in wind, ice and freezing temperatures (with my amazing other half and best friend joining me for the majority) and as of now, whenever it is light enough or I have someone with me to be safe, I will try my best to be outside - no matter the weather! Not guna lie … it’s HARD! It’s not so much the distance anymore, but running against wind or in freezing cold air is not my idea of a great pass time and fitting it into a busy lifestyle daily is going to get harder but it’s all for a reason and I’ll continue to push! #CapCut #babyloss #miscarriageawareness #stillbornawarness #fyp

Monday 5th Jan I haven't completed my 2k for the day yet as it is back to normality with work after the xmas break. I did however, log on to my page this morning and realise that £500 isn't enough and if i push myself and share the progress, maybe, just maybe, we could get to £1000 in sponsorships instead!
