I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Sunday 17th Aug After losing my mum in July 2024, I then lost my grandas in Novemeber 2024. After desperatly wanting to say goodbye to the heartache of 2024, I was focused on entering 2025 on a positive we were welcoming our beautiful baby girl in April 2025. My daughter was excited to be a big sister however, this I was given the devastating news My baby girl Luna had pasded away she was born sleeping on 5th Januray 2025 at 25w+4d. As a family our hearts were broken within 6 months I lost 3 of the most important people in my life. We have an amazing circle of family and friends who have supported us through this. It will never be easy and I will always miss my baby girl having spent a few days in hospital being able to spend time with Luna as a family, my oldest daughter read her stories and we held her close. Being a part of this group of people who have had to go through the loss of losing a baby or a child is a group I knew about but never thought about.. this is due to never expecting to go through something like this myself. Now its a group I am proud to be a part of as I have realised how important it is to help support other families going through the same thing. I hope to raise awareness that baby/child loss is not something to hide from just because you have not been through the experience.
