I’m running 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to running 2k a day this January for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Hi, I've decided to kick start 2026 with raising money for Sands charity, the UK's leading pregnancy and baby loss charity, supports bereaved families with vital services like memory boxes and support groups, funds research, and improves maternity care to save lives and prevent loss, with your donations funding everything from helpline calls to specialist bereavement training for healthcare professionals.  

Fundraising supports:
- Direct Family Support: Provides bereavement support, memory boxes, and local group networks for parents, grandparents, and siblings.
- Maternity Care: Funds training for healthcare professionals to ensure better care for families experiencing loss, working towards better bereavement suites in hospitals.
- Research & Prevention: Supports vital research and campaigns to understand and prevent baby loss.
- Saving Lives: Helps to save babies' lives through education, training, and advocacy. 

Every pound helps offer hope and vital support in families' darkest hours, and I'd be very grateful for any donations received.
