I’m walking 100K in September in memory of my beautiful baby boy Neo-James

Hi my name is kym, I have decided to sign up to and take part in the 100k walk throughout September in memory of my son Neo-James who was sadly born sleeping at home on 16/12/2022 at 18 weeks. Unfortunately, we never got any answers as to why he passed and the support I received, and still do get, is amazing and i will always be appreciative of the work they do, I'll never forget it. Sadly, i know a few friends that have also gone through this heartbreaking journey too, and I just want to say, our angels will never be forgotten.  To be able to give something back to SANDS means the world to me and I am so proud to be part of this. Not only will you all be supporting the charity, you will also be supporting me to as most days it is a struggle to get out the door and face reality. My heart goes out to anyone who sadly has to use this service, I will walk the walk for all our babies xx

Day 30 of my 100k walk

Tuesday 1st Oct
Last day today. I have felt emotional all day and cried so much. Adding a nice 6.43 miles, bringing my total to 150 miles and £331 raised 🥰 xx

Day 29 of my 100k walk

Monday 30th Sep
It's such an emotional day knowing this challenge is coming to an end, walking for my baby boy has made me feel so close to him. I hope I have done him proud through this. 140 miles I've walked so far, what an amazing achievement!! Thank you for all my donations and the support I've been given too, you guys are the best. couldn't have done this without you all xx

7.77 miles I'm adding on today! I am absolutely chuffed with this. Only got 3 days left, i got this 👌☺️ xx

Thursday 26th Sep
Adding on another 5.08 miles from today's walk. Weather was rubbish but I'm chuffed to bits with achieving this today. 4 days to go 👌 x

10.47 miles smashed today! Thank you to everyone who has supported me through this challenge. I hope I'm doing you all proud aswell as my brightest star in the sky ✨️ xx

Another 4.93 miles being added on, super proud of myself today. This is for all of our babies xx

Unfortunately, over the weekend I haven't been able to do much due to bad weather and spending time with my family. However, today I was back at it and absolutely thrilled I achieved 9.40 miles! Nice amount to add on to my total so far 👌 Thank you so much for everyone's support. My reason why I'm walking, is my beautiful baby boy, I'm doing this for Neo-James 👼🤍🤍 xx

Day 21 of my 100k walk

Sunday 22nd Sep
Unfortunately, i haven't managed to get out and do much today other than a walk to the shops and back, i know every little helps, so today I am adding on just over 1 mile. Hopefully we will feel better tomorrow and smash some more miles 👌 x

Day 20 of my 100k walk

Saturday 21st Sep
Another small walk today due to me having a bad vertigo attack and my head just hurt so much. That being said though, I have managed to get just over 4 miles in. Feeling happy about what I have achieved so far. Neo-James, every step is for you baby boy 💙 xx

Day 19 of my 100k walk

Saturday 21st Sep
Adding on 3.48 miles from today's short walk as my oldest is off unwell. Nice little amount and so far this means I have now walked 93 miles in total!! I'm so proud of achieving this just 19 days in! 🥰 Please keep sharing and donating, thank you so much x

5.56 miles I have achieved today, absolutely buzzing. I've reached my goal of 100k already, now aiming for 200k! Let's do this for all the babies that have gained there wings too soon, for all the parents that need the support, for all the research to help get a better understanding of it all and to save more babies lives. I am walking for my baby boy Neo-James, so beautiful but too precious for Earth. I love and miss you so much baby boy xx

Had a lovely walk today, adding on 7.74 miles towards my total. Walking for my baby boy Neo-James, you'll never be forgotten 💙 xx

Day 16 of my 100k walk

Monday 16th Sep
Absolutely loved my walk today. Sun was beaming, clear skies all round, beautiful temperature... it truly was beautiful. Loved hearing the sounds of the birds and seeing the squirrels jumping from tree to tree. 8 miles today. I really am thrilled to bits with that distance 😊 x

Day 15 of my 100k walk

Monday 16th Sep
I've not done much today, as today i chose to have a rest, however, throughout the week I have done a lot and I am so chuffed with myself. I have now walked over 72 miles and set myself a new target to achieve. I am looking forward to this and i will be continuing to share my progress with you all 👌☺️ xx

Saturday 14th Sep
Adding a awesome 4 miles to my walking today, which is absolutely fantastic!! I really am chuffed to bits, even more so as I was joined by the oldest. Been a fab day ☺️ xx

Day 12 of my 100k walk

Friday 13th Sep
Today (12/9/24) was an absolute hit, the most I've walked since taking on this challenge and wow, I am feeling so emotional!! I walked just under 11 and half miles! Beautiful day and I loved seeing my surroundings as i went somewhere new, honestly it was mindblowing how beautiful the place was. Really please with how much I have done so far, so proud of myself xx

Friday 13th Sep
Been on a short walk today but i am thrilled to be adding 3.76 miles towards my total 💙 So proud to be taking part of this challenge xx

Day 11 of my 100k walk

Wednesday 11th Sep
Been a great walk today, aimed for 10,000 steps and achieved 18,462!! Adding 8.57 miles onto my goal, I'm so proud of myself and hope I am making my beautiful boy in the sky proud too 💙 xx

Tuesday 10th Sep
Not felt good today so not been active much. However adding 3.47 miles is a win. I'm thrilled I've added something towards my goal and it is building up nicely. Tomorrow I'm ready. Bring it on 💪👌💙 xx

Today was an incredible walk, i really enjoyed it - 9.39 miles!! 👏 how amazing is that?! Thankyou to my supporters and to those that have donated. I wouldn't have gotten this far if it wasn't for you guys. Over half way now 😊😊 there is still time to donate, let's build up the funds for this cause 🤞🥰 xx

Day 8 of my 100k walk

Sunday 8th Sep
I have really enjoyed todays walk, even in the rain it felt good to be out walking. Unfortunately, I didn't reach my target as ive had a few set backs but I'm thrilled with what I did achieve in just a couple of hours. I am really proud of myself as i am a big girl, hardly any motivation, depression kicks my butt and I hide from reality. So to achieve the 50k already. Its absolutely amazing. Walking for you Neo-James 💙💙 xx I couldn't have done this without you all. So thank you so so much, just over £150 raised too, its brilliant 👏 xx

Sunday 8th Sep
Today I've not been doing much walking as I've been celebrating my child's birthday. l am happy to add 1.3 miles to my target, it all helps and it is all adding up nicely. I will be back out there tomorrow, with a personal target I've given myself. Can I smash it?, let's hope so 🙏 xx

Although I didn't do alot of walking today due to being committed to other things, i am absolutely thrilled that i managed to get 3.4 miles in. Absolutely buzzing and l am chuffed bits with myself. 3.4 miles added on, smashing it xx

Thursday 5th Sep
really enjoyed this walk today, another 6 miles done. Had no idea what area I went to but it was so beautiful and peaceful. Starting to feel the aches now and that's a good thing! Smashing it for my baby boys memory 💙 x

I didn't get to walk yesterday (3.9.24) due to me not feeling good, however I was determined to smash it today. I walked 7 miles today and I am super chuffed with that, so proud of myself. Thank you to everyone who donated so far, much appreciated and love you all. Let's see if I wake up aching haha x

My t-shirt and tracker came today ♡♡ Its a bittersweet feeling for sure, but its so amazing to be part of the fundraising and to be able to give something back to the charity means a lot to me. I can't wait to start walking in memory of my beautiful baby boy and for everyone else that has sadly lost their beautiful babies 💙💜 xx
