I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

Why I’m Taking On the Sands 100k This September

Thursday 21st Aug
This September, I’m walking 100 kilometers for a cause that means everything to me. I'm doing it in memory of my baby, who I lost last year.
There are no words that can fully describe the pain of losing a baby. It changes you in ways you never expect. It’s grief, love, heartbreak, and silence all at once. But out of that pain, I’ve found a purpose—to honour my baby’s memory and to help others who face the same heartbreak.
That’s why I’ve joined the Sands 100k Challenge. Sands supports families through the loss of a baby, offers vital bereavement services, and works to improve care and prevent future losses. The work they do matters. It mattered to me. And now, I want to give something back.
Every step I take this September is for the baby I didn’t get to hold long enough, and for all the other families who carry this grief quietly every day.
If you'd like to support me, whether by donating, joining me for a walk, or simply sharing this message—thank you. It means more than you know.
This is for my baby. Always loved, never forgotten. 🤍
