I’m helping to organise our Sands Ribbon Run

So I’ve decided that I’m going to HELP ORGANISE this event for the 2nd Year running, alongside Vicki (definitely the Brains of the operation)

The Ribbon Run is a community family friendly event, you can walk/or run 5k,10k, or 15k.   (The route is mapped at 5k - so twice round for 10k etc) When I lost Lucy in January 2023 - I didn’t know what help was out there, who to turn to, and due to the overwork of the Sands volunteers, help I received, well it was limited! My aim is to make sure more people get support when they need it the most!  If you would like to run, jog, walk, push a pram round the course, donate, or stand and keep me company whilst I look after/cheer everyone on. You are all welcome! The families we meet on the day are totally inspiring! It’s a wonderful event.  Please help me in my journey to making stuff better..

To sign up

If you'd like to take part and get sponsored, you can sign up at https://fundraising.sands.org.uk/fundraisers/aldershot.

We're starting to plan the event now and it will hopefully be bigger and better than last year.

Sands exists to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, before, during or shortly after birth, whenever this happened and for as long as they need support.

By sponsoring me, you are helping Sands break the silence around baby loss and to continue to save babies’ lives.

In Memory of Lucy Clark, who will live on in my heart forever.

£10 - could provide a hand and footprint kit to help create memories.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.
