Wednesday 24th DecThe month of January 2026, I’m running 2k every single day — not for fitness, not for a challenge… but for Sands and for my beautiful nephew, Lawrence Clarke.
In January 2020, our family’s world changed forever. Lawrence was just five months old when he passed away from cot death. Five months of love, smiles, cuddles & a light that shone far brighter than his short time here. A beautiful boy, taken far too soon, now forever with the angels 🤍
There are no words that ever truly ease the pain of losing a baby. The silence they leave behind is overwhelming. The questions never fully fade. And the heartbreak stays — quietly woven into everyday life.
Sands exists to support families like my sister’s, through the unimaginable loss of a baby, to fund vital research, raise awareness and ensure that no parent has to walk this path alone. If even one family can be spared this pain, then every step I run will be worth it.
So I’ll be running — on tired legs, on emotional days, in rain or shine — carrying Lawrence in my heart with every step. This is for him. For all the babies gone too soon. And for every family learning to live with loss.
