I’m running 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to running 2k a day this January for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

January 2026 CHALLENGE!
Monday 29th DecThis January, I’m challenging myself to run 2km every single day in support of SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society).
As a midwife, I am privileged to walk alongside families at some of the most joyful moments of their lives but I also see, far too often, the heartbreak that comes with baby loss.
SANDS provides vital support to bereaved families, funds research, raises awareness, and works tirelessly to improve care and outcomes so fewer families have to experience this pain.
Running every day for a month is my way of honouring the babies gone too soon, the families who carry them in their hearts forever, and the incredible work SANDS does across the UK.
Every donation, no matter how small, truly makes a difference.
