On 23rd August 2026, I will be walking from pier to pier along the South Wales coast, from Mumbles to Porthcawl, pushing an empty pram in memory of my son, Myles, who was stillborn in August 2023.
I will be joined by a small group of family and friends along the way, walking together in support, love, and remembrance.
This walk is for him.
And for every baby who is no longer here, but will always be loved.
Why I’m doing this:
Myles was born sleeping in August 2023. There are no words that can truly describe that kind of loss, but there is love—and that love continues every day.
Walking with an empty pram is my way of carrying him with me along the coast he should have seen. Step by step, I’ll be walking in his memory, surrounded by people who love him too.
I also want this walk to help other families who have experienced pregnancy loss, stillbirth or neonatal death feel supported, understood, and less alone.
That’s why I’m raising money for Sands.
Sands provides vital support to anyone affected by the death of a baby, while also funding research and working to improve care so fewer families have to go through this heartbreak in the future.
The challenge:
I’ll be walking from Mumbles Pier to Porthcawl Pier—roughly a full coastal journey along the South Wales coastline.
I’ll be pushing an empty pram the entire way in memory of Myles, supported along the route by family and friends who will be joining me for parts of the walk.
It will be physically and emotionally demanding, but it is important to me to complete it in full.

- Training for healthcare professionals
- Research to reduce baby deaths and improve care

This walk is the beginning of something I am creating in Myles’ name: Miles for Myles.
A space where his memory can live on, and where love and grief can be turned into support for others who need it most.
