My Updates
Day 31
Saturday 31st Jan Last 2k complete. Thank you everyone for your love, support and donations to a much needed charity. I so wish that it didn’t have to exist and that couples didn’t have to endure such pain. Your donations will help to go towards research that helps understand these things better to try and stop miscarriage, stillborn and neonatal deaths or much needed support when these tragedies to occur. Thank you very much ❤️ 😊 Share
Day 28
Wednesday 28th Jan I was honoured tonight to be asked to complete todays 2k in memory of baby Barfoot ❤️ 28.01.2024 Share
Day 26
Tuesday 27th Jan It can be hard some days to stay motivated and fitting in just 2k each day when it’s not in a normal routine with work and after work activities. I suppose that’s the whole point and that’s why it’s a challenge. It’s not the 2k, it’s remaining consistent in the challenge and doing it every day and finding the time within a busy day. Share
Day 21
Thursday 22nd Jan A slower one with Samson with me. Every lamppost and grass area must be sniffed 😂 Share
Day 20
Tuesday 20th Jan Today was one where I really had to motivate myself. I’ve been away with work and busy at work today followed by women’s discipleship tonight. I felt exhausted getting home and then thinking about the 2k I had to do. It’s so easy to say I’ll just do 4k tomorrow or I’ll catch up easy. But then I thought about what it’s for and why I’m doing this and why it is a challenge. It’s not the 2k, that’s easy it’s 2k everyday fitted into the business of life stuff! So with a new mindset I put on my jacket, hat and gloves and sucked it up. Share
Day 19
Monday 19th Jan More than half way. Beautiful morning walk in Edinburgh before a work meeting. Share
Day 14
Thursday 15th Jan Walked tonight. My Legs couldn’t cope with a run tonight. Got DOMS day 2 after CrossFit class 😩 Share
Day 11
Sunday 11th Jan Day 11, 2km complete. Starting to feel great being back running again. Baby steps 😊 Share
Day 10
Sunday 11th Jan Yeasss, got to run outside again tonight as the ice is defrosting. Not a big fan of the treadmill but needs must. My deficit is now complete and I’m back on track 😃 Share
Day 9
Friday 9th Jan Unfortunately another run on the treadmill tonight because of the icy roads. Hoping it clears soon. 3k complete. Just -1k deficit and I’m back on track. Hope you’re all keeping safe in this weather. Aberdeenshire specifically ❤️ Share
Day 5, 6, 7 and 8
Thursday 8th Jan I’ve been unable to run the past few days due to an unexpected event but I’ve ran 5k tonight to help get me back on track. Only now a 3k deficient to make up.
Day 4 evening run with Samson
Sunday 4th Jan We didn’t venture far tonight because of the snowy weather. Samson joined me in tonight’s run of 2k around our housing complex. He did amazingly well and only a few toilet and sniff stops required. Thank you for your company and support Samson ❤️😊 Share
Day 3
Saturday 3rd Jan 2k run complete in the snow today that felt like sand under my feet. Thank you all for your donations and support. It’s hard to put into words how childlessness and the trauma of it affects your confidence. I’ve never experienced this feeling to this extreme before and having it rob my confidence piece by piece over the years. However, It’s happening! I’m doing it! I can do this! 😊 Share
Day 2
Friday 2nd Jan 2km complete down North Kessock with Samson running and Luke shining light with the car. A family event 😂 Share
