I’m running 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to running 2k a day this January for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Running has been an unexpected but amazing help for me over the past two months, having nearly completed the Couch to 5K programme and going through the most difficult time. This challenge popped up on my Facebook page and it made perfect sense for me to complete it.  It would mean a great deal to me and my family if you could sponsor me, even just a little bit please. I will try my best to navigate my ridiculously busy life to run (jog) at least 2k every day in January.

Charities like SANDS and others have been a lifeline for my sister, her partner and his son, me and the rest of our families. Equally, many of my friends have benefited from their support so I know the money raised will be going towards something so important and close to our hearts.

I know Christmas is looming and know sponsors may not be something people can do right now but any amount means the world. Our Christmas looks very different to the one we were expecting without our beautiful Effie and this challenge is giving me a focus and I feel like I'm doing it for her somehow.
