Why I'm taking these steps

That personal journey is the driving force behind my commitment to walk 50 kilometres this december in support of the Sands (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity).
This walk is more than just a fundraiser; it is a physical commitment to turning an invisible emotional burden into a visible act of support for others who will sadly walk this path in the future.
 A Hand in the Darkness
Sands is crucial because they understand the complexity of this loss. They don't just offer generic comfort; they offer specialized, knowledgeable support that addresses the specific needs of bereaved families:
Understanding Community: They provide a safe space through local and online groups where the grief doesn't need to be explained or justified.
Sands works tirelessly to train hospital staff, ensuring that the care families receive in the delivery room and afterward is compassionate, respectful, and trauma-informed.
They fund vital research aimed at reducing the number of babies who die, striving for a day when fewer families need their services.
Every Step is a Thank You and a Promise
As I take on these kilometres, every step will be dedicated to the memories of all the babies gone too soon, including my own precious little ones. It is a thank you to the organizations that offered me comfort and a promise that I will do everything I can to help others find that same support.
Please consider making a donation. Your support helps ensure that when a family faces this unimaginable tragedy, they will never have to face it alone.
Thank you for helping me make this challenge meaningful.
